Bob Hood

First Officer (Pilot) / Alaska Airlines

Bob is a native of the Pacific Northwest and became fascinated with airplanes as a child; by the third grade he had his eyes set on becoming an airline pilot.  Bob is a First Officer at Alaska Airlines on the Boeing 737.  Prior to his current position, he was a Bombardier Q400 Captain with Horizon Air, where he served in Flight Standards and Training as a Line Check Airman and Instructor. He was also on the pilot interview team with the Chief Pilot Office. Having several family members and friends who are hesitant fliers, Bob enjoys reaching out to fearful fliers and sharing about airline safety and operations. He is a graduate of the Big Bend Community College Commercial Pilot Program and holds a B.S. in Aviation Management from Central Washington University.
